Shortly after Mark’s accident his family and friends gathered together to help raise money to offset some of the medical bills, a home remodel and the new equipment Mark would need as a quadriplegic. This group dubbed Team Cameron planned a golf tournament to continue raising money through tournament fees and both silent and live auctions. This money was raised to help Mark afford to continue living alone in his newly remodeled home and employ caregivers along with the expense of medical costs and exercise equipment.
